Memory Summary: Caramel-Flavored Popcorn
Gained Through: Cooking Contest - Five Dishes Completed
Time: Day 30
All you want to do is get some popcorn and sit down. That wasn't a lot to ask for, far as you were concerned. But your sister has different plans as she stands in front of you at the concession, frowning thoughtfully at the food list like she'd never seen it before in her life. With all her 'hmmmm'ing and tapping her jaw you know she's doing it on purpose to annoy you.
"Just order some popcorn already, it's gonna start soon," you say impatiently.
Your sister doesn't reply, instead 'hmmm'ing louder. You let out an annoyed grunt.
"Alright, I've made up my mind!" your sister announces and the sweating concession clerk lets out a relieved breath. "We're getting an extra large caramel-flavored popcorn."
You weren't sure you heard her right. "...Caramel-flavored popcorn? What's that supposed to mean?"
Your sister exhales dramatically, rounding on you and placing her hand on her hip. She looks at you as though you were an idiot. "Come on, what do you think it means?! It's popcorn that tastes like caramel, duh! Caramel-flavored popcorn! I don't know how much more obvious it can be." She goes as far as to rap her knuckles against your head, causing an odd girl wearing a shinai on her back to shift uncomfortably beside you.
"Th-that's stupid!" you yell, swatting your sister's hand away. "You either got popcorn or caramel, not both! What's wrong with you?"
She sticks out her tongue at you. "Well, that's what we're getting! Guess you're gonna have to deaaaal~ with~ it~!"
What was learned:
- I have a sister
- She's... kind of a brat
- Caramel-flavored popcorn's a fucking abomination that shouldn't exist
- But I'm pretty sure she got her way, regardless
- That other girl was weird
- Why'd the concession guy look so nervous? We were only kids
Effect:
- Families are pretty cool! Has something to look forward to once out of there
- More reason to want to escape!
- Few curiosities in the memories; wants to gain more to understand better
